People hear pasta and they think, too many calories. Ditto. But we need carbohydrates to fuel our bodies, whole grain pasta is full of fiber and actually has a bit of protein in it too. Great meal after leg day. I made this last night and it was delish. I used the brand Organics . It’s 180 calories for two ounces, which is about a cup full when
cooked. Then I chopped up some garlic (about two cloves) and sautéed it in 2 tablespoons olive oil. I threw in 1 cup diced tomato, 1 cup mushrooms and 1 cup shrimp – let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Once the spaghetti was done, I drained the water and put all the goods in the pot, adding the pesto (that I bought pre-made) . Add salt and pepper to taste. I am for sure no chef, this was quick and easy, just the way I like it. 1 serving is about 500 calories. That’s a pretty light pasta dish if you ask me. Add a small salad to the meal and boom! dinner is served.
